Taught by visiting Teacher, Geshe YongDong

Please join us for our open house, Friday May 8th at Yeru Bön Center to welcome Geshe Yungdrung to Yeru Bön Center, Minneapolis. 7pm – 9pm.

Dream yoga is the earliest method of lucid dreaming, a training created in Tibet at least 1,000 years ago. The practices are from the clear-light methods of the Yungdrung Bon Mother Tantra called “Magyu”.

There are two types of dreams – ordinary dreams and lucid dreams. Ordinary dreams depend on your Karmic conditions and lucid dreams depend on your meditation and awareness.

The primary goal of dream yoga practices is to open a door to the experience of the true nature of mind. The ultimate purpose of Tibetan dream yoga is to purify karmic emotions and lack of awareness and, assist in the realization of enlightenment at the time of death itself.

Clear light or lucid dreams, are associated with being in the present and recognizing with your awareness. If you recognize your dream as a dream, then it is a possible to recognize thoughts and emotions during everyday life and when we recognize them, it is possible to be free from them, in sleep & awake.

Many Tibetan Lamas use Dream Yoga practice methods to deepen their spiritual practice as an aid to the attainment of enlightenment and to communicate with a Yidam, which is a meditation deity.

This weekend teaching retreat will focus on the path of dreams – “Miwa Lamcher” – using meditation, visualization, mantra, ritual purification, dream signs and breathing techniques.
