Sherab Chamma, the Wisdom Loving Mother
The Ancient Bön teachings of Sherab Chamma, the Widsom Loving Mother, teaches us to connect with our inherent Wisdoms.
In this retreat, Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche will teach Sherab Cham Ma, or “Loving Mother.” This teaching was originally taught by Tonpa Shenrab, Founder of Bön and is part of the series of the Mother Tantra, or the Transmission of Bön.
Sherab Cham Ma (also known as “Cham Ma”) is the female form of the Enlightened One. She holds the collective power of Compassion and Wisdom of all enlightened ones of the past, present and future. She is also the source of manifestation of all the perfected enlightened ones.
Her external aspect is the Loving Mother. Her internal aspect is unconditional love, compassion, and wisdom. Her secrete aspect, the ultimate nature of her mind, is unconditional, infinite space. Within that space, she manifests 21 aspects to liberate all sentient beings from the suffering of cyclic existence.
This weekend retreat will focus on introducing us to the Loving Mother Cham Ma; how we can use Cham Ma to free us from our Five Poisons; and the practice of eight manifestations of Cham Ma as protectors, to protect us from eight crises and fears in our everyday life.
This practice helps us connect with our primordial capacity to love and care unconditionally for one another and for ourselves. This practice can deeply transform us. The true quality of the Loving Mother is within us forever. Practicing the Loving Mother means that we recognize this quality within ourselves. Based on this recognition we nurture it and finally use it as a skillful means of refuge and protection for the self and others.
This two day retreat is open to anyone interested in the Tibetan ancient Bön healing practices; those who would like to recognize the internal abilities to heal ourselves; and anyone interested in spiritual well-being and health.
