Yeru Bon Center’s 12th Annual
24-Hour Global Prayer for World Peace

The 669th Birth Anniversary of
Gyalwa Nyipa Nyammed Sherab Gyaltsen

March 4th, 2025
7:00 p.m. IN YOUR TIME ZONE

We invite you to be a part of this auspicious annual event:

As we all know, the power of prayer is incredible, and even more so when we come together in unity. This year marks the 12th year of Yeru Bön Center’s 24-Hour Global Prayer Event for World Peace, taking place on March 4th. For over a decade, this sacred gathering has brought together practitioners, friends, and communities worldwide in a continuous wave of prayer and meditation, moving across time zones for a full 24 hours. For the past 12 years, Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche has always chosen this event to coincide with the birth anniversary of Gyalwa Nyipa Nyammed Sherab Gyaltsen as on his birth anniversary, all prayers are multiplied by 100 times.

Here is how this works: Beginning at sMenri Monastery at 7:00 p.m. Menri time in India, our prayers will begin and then travel west, moving across time zones. At 7:00 p.m. in each time zone, we ask participants to enter the Zoom Room for their Zhi Gyur prayers and meditation. As each region completes its hour, the next 7:00 p.m. time zone will continue the prayer cycle until we complete a full circle back to sMenri Monastery.

We invite everyone to join us via Zoom, creating a shared space for prayer and meditation. As you enter the Zoom Room, please do so quietly so as not to disturb those already in prayer or meditation. But we would like to say—you never know who might be there. Perhaps a Lama, a Geshe, or a Rinpoche will join throughout the 24 hours, offering prayers, meditation, or even guidance. Their presence will be a special blessing, enriching this sacred time together.

Rinpoche has also requested that participants light candles as part of their prayer and meditation practice. If you do so—either alone or as a group—you are welcome to show your candles on Zoom, symbolizing our collective light and unity in prayer. This small yet powerful act is a visual reminder of the love, peace, and healing energy we are sending out into the world.

Our purpose is simple but powerful—praying for world peace in all its forms. This includes peace across the globe, within our communities, and in our own homes. We hold in our prayers the victims of violence, child abuse, and those suffering from severe hardships. We ask for guidance for world leaders to act with wisdom and compassion, and we meditate, visualize, and send out peace and calm into the world.

We have the power to blanket the entire world with love, healing, compassion and acceptance. As a Bön community, family, and friends, our prayers hold extraordinary energy, and together, we can create a wave of profound peace and harmony.

Please join us starting March 4th and, at 7:00 p.m. in your time zone, meet us in the Zoom Room for an hour of prayer, meditation, and even a simple shared smile as we weave a beautiful bond of spiritual unity.

We welcome all—whether you pray alone, with your sangha, prayer group, or friends. You do not have to be a Bön practitioner; all faiths and traditions are welcome. Upon registration, your name will be sent to sMenri Monastery for additional blessings, and you will receive the Zoom link and the prayer texts chosen by Rinpoche.

Let us come together in this sacred space and radiate peace, love, and healing to all beings.

There is no fee for this special event, but we ask for you to please register as we will submit the names of all participants and we can then send you prayers and a copy of the 24 hours.
