March 7th
The 666th Birth Anniversary of
Gyalwa Nyipa Nyammed Sherab Gyaltsen
Yeru Bon Center’s 9th Annual
24-hour Global Prayer for World Peace
Life is beautiful!
We invite you to our Nine (9) Annual 24 Hour Global Prayer For World Peace and our honoring the founder of sMenri Monastery, Gyalwa Nyipa Nyammed Sherab Gyaltsen’s 666 birth anniversary.
On this auspicious day, the power of all prayers recited will be multiplied by 100,000.
On March 7th we begin our global prayer at 7:00 p.m. at sMenri Monastery and for 24 hours we produce a worldwide prayer blanket of love and compassion, covering all sentient beings with the spirit of world peace, for victims of terrible events, for our lost children, for people who are ill, for the terrible covid 19 virus. For all people who are suffering. For our leaders to show compassion to other countries. For love of all sentient beings.
Here is how it works:
On March 7th, 2022, Gyalwa Nyipa Nyammed Sherab Gyaltsen’s birth anniversary. sMenri Monastery will begin the Global Prayer at 7:00 p.m. their time zone. Then the blanket of prayer will continue west. You just need to be mindful to begin your prayer at 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in your time zone.
For 24 hours the prayers will continue and end at sMenri Monastery.
You can meet with your Sangha/Tsokme group, or you can be alone.
We will provide a Global Prayer Zoom room for students to participate via Zoom as well.
It is not mandatory to log onto Zoom, but it is a good way to connect with others who will be participating for this special event.
All you need to do is join the Zoom room, quietly, as people will be praying during their time zone. And starting at 7:00 p.m. your time zone you can begin your prayers and or meditation until 8:00 p.m.
There is no fee for participating in the 24 hour Global Prayer. But we do ask you to register. This way, you can continue to receive update information regarding this global prayer event. We will send the list of registered participants to sMenri Monastery, where the monks will do a special blessing for all participants.
Rinpoche has chosen the Zhi Gyur and the Laminaljor prayer for everyone to recite. When you register, you will receive these prayers. But you can recite any prayer or mantra you feel comfortable with.
In the past we have had people participating from various organizations and churches, and they use the prayers that work best for them.
You don’t have to be a Bön practitioner to participate. We ask that you bring your open warm heart, compassion, love, and light into your prayers and meditation for everyone one to feel and hear. Send your prayers out for all sentient beings.
If the sound of our prayers and meditation can be felt around the world, and if they embrace others and ourselves like a blanket of blessings around the world, what a joy and a blessing!
Please join us again, or join us for the first time, for our 9th annual Global Prayer event for World Peace and Harmony.
Rinpoche will be in private retreat at sMenri Monastery, but will be lighting candles, praying for all sentient beings. He will ask someone to please record the candle lighting and prayers.
