Drenpa Namkha’s True Lamp ~ Monday Sessions
The pandemic has been hard on all of us. But one of the bright aspects is that we’ve had more time to connect as Bon practitioners via Zoom, whether for a teaching from Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche or a practice session with other practitioners.
The Monday morning practice sessions have been very popular. You remember that Rinpoche has taught the 43 Instructions on the Mind of Enlightenment, the 24 Masters of Zhang Zhung, the Experiential Song (Nyam Gur) of Zhu Tashi Chamma, and most recently the Essence of the White Aa of Drenpa Namka.
The last session of the Essence of the White Aa series was last Monday, June 21.
You may be aware that Rinpoche is giving a teaching on another text of Drenpa Namka, The True Lamp of Clearing Darkness. The course is given this weekend, June 26 and 27.
The True Lamp of Clearing Darkness is a teaching of Drenpa Namkha that is particularly suited in another ways to handle the situation in modern life, to help students manage crises and difficult times with the blessing and protection of Drenpa Namkha.
This teaching will help us learn to shine a light towards the darkness in a time of crisis. When we are able to shine a light towards the darkness, we become aware of what is in the darkness, and can be less fearful and less traumatized. Through learning the truth of the phenomenal world, we understand how we can deal with crisis and fear, and we make our mind more compassionate and open.
Rinpoche has announced that he will begin another Monday morning series on June 28, which will go follow on the weekend course of the True Lamp of Clearing Darkness and provide further discussion and practice on the Seven Meditations, Three Actual Practices, and Four Reversal Thoughts. We expect this will be a 4 – 6 week series.
For those who take the online course this weekend, this Monday morning series is included in the course fee. There is a $50 fee for those registering only for the Monday morning series.
We are excited about this course and about resuming Monday morning practice! We look forward to having you join us!
