Santa Fe, New Mexico
The Khyung Mar (Red Garuda) practice is an ancient 18,000 year old Yungdrung Bön Healing practice.
Khyung Mar is the Tibetan name for the Red Garuda, a Wisdom protector, and a manifestation of pure awareness. The Khyung Mar represents the fiery power of energy. This deity protects against outer, inner, and secret obstacles. He transforms the five poisons (ignorance, jealousy, anger, pride and attachment), overcomes the eight dreads, and liberates sentient beings from suffering. The Red Garuda healing practice is highly effective physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
This ancient teaching of the Khyung Mar belongs to the Tantric category of practice. Tantra is the path of transformation that transforms negativity and ignorance into wisdom.
There are several purposes for this teaching. The first is healing oneself by receiving energies, powers, blessings, and protections from The Red Garuda. The second purpose is to show us how to generate the ability and power to transform the negativity of disturbances and obstacles and to help cure sickness or disease in others.
