Conclusion of the 49 Days Ceremony

Dear Friends, Bön Students, and Sangha Members,
With love, devotion, and deep admiration, we share that the 49 days of sacred prayers and ceremonies honoring the passing of His Eminence, Yongdzin Lopon Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche, will conclude on August 2nd, 2025.
According to ancient Tibetan tradition, these 49 days are a deeply significant period—a sacred time for spiritual practice, offerings, and prayers as we hold space for the transition of our beloved teacher and Bön master through the Bardo.
Every butter lamp lit, every mantra recited, and every moment of heartfelt devotion has been an offering of gratitude for the vast wisdom, boundless compassion, and profound spiritual guidance His Eminence so graciously shared with us throughout his extraordinary life.
As this sacred cycle comes to a close, Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche warmly invites you to join a Butter Lamp Ceremony on August 3rd at 9:00 a.m. Central Time, held in honor of His Eminence.
This ceremony will be offered virtually and is open to all, free of charge. Upon registration, you will receive the prayer texts to follow along in your own practice.
Rinpoche encourages you to prepare a small altar or sacred space with the five traditional offerings:
- Butter lamps or candles
- Incense
- A bowl of fruit
- Flowers
- Water
Members of Yeru Bön Center will be present at the ceremony in person.
At the heartfelt request of many students, we are also accepting donations in honor of His Eminence. All offerings will be personally delivered to Triten Norbutse Monastery by Yeru Bön Center members attending the ceremony.
A list of donor names will be included as part of this offering. If the monastery prepares a commemorative item or souvenir, we will collect one on your behalf for each donation made.
