Monday Morning Series Teaching
At the request of Bön practitioners, Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche has chosen the next topic of his Monday Morning Teaching Series.
The Daily Prayers
August 1st – September 5th, 2022
7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Central
For one hour every Monday morning, for six weeks, Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche will teach the history and importance of the Daily Prayers, explain to us their rich simplicity, and guide us to use the Daily Prayers as a practical tool for our spiritual growth.
What are the Daily Prayers?
Yungdrung Bön is a great ocean of spiritual teachings to help all levels of practitioners.
From the large body of logic, structured hierarchy and rules for conduct of Do (sutra), through the rich and mystical rituals of the many levels of Ngag (tantra) to the single-pointed clear realization of ultimate reality of Sem (Dzogchen), the teachings of Bön allow the practitioner to move to increasingly higher levels of spiritual development.
Many students find this great ocean of knowledge to be daunting. Where do we start? How do we make sense of all this knowledge?
The Daily Prayers were written to help. The Daily Prayers are a distillation of the major areas of Bön spiritual development, encapsulating the teachings of Do, Ngag and Sem in a short form that can be recited and meditated on every day, providing a good practical base for our spiritual development.
