Taught by Geshe Nyima Kunchap Rinpoche
Come to the Friday Evening Open House (4/10) from 7pm-9pm to meet Geshe Nyima Kunchap Rinpoche!
Bön recognizes that the Nagas (water spirits) and Land Lords (earth spirits) have power over the five elements. Human activities that destroy or interfere with the land, air, plants, fire and water can offend the Nagas and Land Lords, and result in a variety of destructive events and illnesses. To bring peace and harmony to the environment and all beings, Bön uses many rituals.
The Ocean of Milk is the most extensive of these rituals. Through building a mandala to the Nagas, using materials symbolic of the five elements, and performing specific meditations and prayers, the practitioners balance and harmonize the five elements to bring about peace, human health, and a balanced environment.
Geshe Muring Nyima Kunchap Rinpoche is a renowned expert in the rituals of the Yungdrung Bön. Yeru Bön Center in honored to have the rare teachings of Oceans of Milk Ceremony performed by Geshe Muring Nyima Kunchap at Yeru Minneapolis and Yeru Los Angeles.
