SUMMARY:Red Garuda Advanced Certification Retreat: June 21-25\, 2016
DESCRIPTION:The Red Garuda practice focuses on healing. It heals ourselves by generating and receiving positive energies\, healing empowerments\, and protections from the Red Garuda. It heals others by generating the ability and power to transform negativity\, disturbances and obstacles that cause illness. This practice falls in the secret category or method of Tantra. \nThe Red Garuda is a complex teaching with many levels. The course taught at the St. Thomas Retreat is considered the first level teaching\, but is not necessary for participating in this training. Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche has created a program to allow health care professionals and Bön practitioners to move to an advanced level of the Red Garuda practice. \nThe Red Garuda advanced online course began on June 1\, 2015. At the Advanced Retreat\, all the material students learned through the online course will be practiced with Rinpoche\, to be sure all students have a good understanding of the material. \n—- \nThe wonderful retreat\, from June 21-25 2016\, is the final part of the on-line Khyung Mar (Red Garuda) certification course. This will be unlike other retreats. Rinpoche will present experiential teaching and hands-on practice in small groups. We will learn how to work with ourselves and with clients. \nFor Red Garuda practitioners\, the Phurba (three-sided dagger) and Melong (mirror) are critical tools\, that are the sources of power and connection to the Khyung Mar diety. Rinpoche will empower the Phurbas and Melongs of the retreat participates\, to strengthen your connection to the Khyung Mar and improve your practice. \nStudents who successfully complete both the online course and the June 2016 retreat will receive the Red Garuda certification. \nBecause of the great interest in this retreat\, however\, Rinpoche has agreed to open the retreat to people who have not taken the online course\, but who have had the basic Red Garuda teachings and practice experience. These students are welcome to attend the retreat on a non-certification basis. \nWe encourage anyone interested in participating at this retreat to register as space is limited. Housing is included with your fee at the center\, dormitory style\, private room at the house or yurt/tent at the house. Once these options are filled\, hotels will be available at your cost. \nThe Advanced Red Garuda Retreat is planned to be held at the Yeru Bön Center in Minneapolis. Location subject to change.
