We Invite Your Prayers, Love, and Compassion
Yeru Bön Center’s 13th Annual 24-Hour Global Prayer for World Peace
Honoring the 669th Birth Anniversary of Gyalwa Nyipa Nyammed Sherab Gyaltsen
February 22, 2026 7:00 p.m. in Your Time Zone
For twelve years, our global community has gathered to weave a blanket of compassion around the world—one hour, one prayer, one heart at a time. In a world that often feels heavy with worry and uncertainty, coming together in prayer has offered comfort, connection, and profound blessing to thousands across the globe.
The power of prayer is extraordinary magnified even more when we join together in unity.
This year marks the 13th consecutive year of Yeru Bön Center’s 24-Hour Global Prayer Event for World Peace, aligned with the birth anniversary of Gyalwa Nyipa Nyammed Sherab Gyaltsen, a sacred day on which prayers are believed to be multiplied 100-fold.
How the 24-Hour Prayer Circle Works
The prayers begin at sMenri Monastery on February 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. (Menri time) in India.
From there, the wave of prayer travels westward across the globe:
- At 7:00 p.m. in each time zone, participants are encouraged to offer Zhi Gyur prayers and meditation.
- As one region completes its hour, the next time zone begins, continuing the cycle until the circle returns to sMenri.
Entering the Zoom Room is not required, but if you are able to join, it creates a beautiful sense of connection with others who are praying at the same time from all corners of the world.
If you do enter the Zoom Room, please do so quietly to avoid interrupting those already in prayer or meditation. Throughout the 24 hours, you may also be joined by Lamas, Geshes, or even Rinpoches who may offer prayer, meditation, or gentle guidance—an unexpected blessing for all.
Light a Candle — Share Your Light
Rinpoche warmly requests that participants light candles during their prayers or meditation.
Whether you pray individually or with a group, you are welcome to show your candles on Zoom. A beautiful reminder of our shared light and our collective intention for peace.
Each flame becomes part of a global mandala of hope, love, and healing.
Our Shared Intention
Our purpose is simple and profound: To pray for peace in every corner of the world.
We hold in our hearts:
- Peace across nations
- Peace within our communities and homes
- Healing for those suffering from violence, illness, trauma, or hardship
- Guidance for world leaders to act with wisdom and compassion
- Calm, clarity, and lovingkindness for all beings
As a Bön community and as friends from many spiritual paths, we carry extraordinary spiritual strength. Together, we can blanket the world in compassion, healing, and light.
