In person or via Zoom
Zhi Ney meditation practice is like flowing water – through movement, attainment, familiarity, immovability, and perfection, it takes your mind, which is initially turbulent like a waterfall, through the stages of moving like a river in a deep gorge, to a gentle flow of a great river, training your thoughts to blend naturally and indivisibly with your mind, then like a pond undulating under a gentle breeze, and finally taking your mind to perfection like a great calm ocean free of surface waves.
Rinpoche has often said that learning how to truly meditate through the practice of Zhi Ney can completely transform your meditation and spiritual practice.
Zhi Ney, the practice of Calm and Abiding, is the foundation upon which all deeper meditation is built. When the mind learns to settle and remain stable, clarity naturally arises and one’s spiritual practice becomes stronger and more meaningful.
Rinpoche will guide students through teachings and dedicated meditation practice, helping practitioners cultivate stability of mind, deeper concentration, and genuine inner calm.
This retreat offers a rare opportunity to strengthen the very root of meditation practice.
Why This Retreat Matters Now
In today’s world the mind is constantly pulled in many directions.
Distraction, worry, and emotional overwhelm make it difficult to truly rest.
The practice of Zhi Ney — Calm and Abiding — teaches us how to return to the natural stability of the mind.
When the mind becomes calm and focused:
- Meditation deepens naturally
- Inner peace begins to arise
- Concentration becomes stable
- Spiritual insight develops more clearly
- Healing of mind, body, and spirit is supported
For practitioners of Yungdrung Bön, Zhi Ney is not simply a meditation technique. It is the essential ground from which all higher practices grow.
Without this foundation, meditation remains unstable.
With it, the path becomes clear.
Through several days of teachings and guided meditation with Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche, participants will learn how to cultivate this stability and begin experiencing the true depth of meditation.
