Year-End Giving Letter 2019

To Students and Friends of Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche and Yeru Bön  Center,

As we come to the holiday season, we are thankful for the generosity that has been shown to the children at the Bön  Children’s Home.

As Bön  practitioners, we know that generosity is the first of the Parchin Chu, the Ten Transcendental Practices. At this time, we’d like to impose on your generosity again, and ask you to consider Yeru Bön  Center for your year-end giving. We have more work to do for the children at the Bön Children’s Home and its worthwhile programs for the children. Help us continue Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche’s work to raise these children with proper education and care, to help teach these children they are worthy of being exceptional human beings, and to help them strive for a life of joy, service to others and to lead by example for other students who come into the Bön Children’s Home.

Because of kind and generous contributions and donations, we were again able to send money to the Bön Children’s Home. These donations helped with the daily needs of the children, and for this, we are grateful.

This year we’ve been asked by Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche to help with continuing education for the high school graduates. They have received a wonderful education at the BCH. We want to help them become successful through higher education. There are 16 children who have fulfilled their requirements to receive scholarships for further education at a university or technical school.

Phuntsok, the Secretary of BCH, advises us that to send these children on to further their education, we need to help raise approximately $12,000 for the continuing education program this year.

There are also many children who need sponsors. Consider sponsoring a child for only $450 per year, or $37.50 per month.

We have said this before, the children at the Bön Children’s home are so grateful for the contributions they receive to help with their daily needs, further education, and repair and maintenance at BCH. In return, they work very hard with their studies and to be the best they can be.

The needs at the Bön  Children’s Home continue. Without our help, it would be so difficult for all the children at the Bön Children’s Home.

Starting today, through December 6th, we have started a matching contribution campaign to help raise the funds for the children at the Bön  Children’s Home. A donor has offered to match all contributions up to a maximum of $2,000. There is no such thing as a small donation, every amount helps, and particularly with this matching donation. We invite those of you who haven’t donated to the BCH recently to take this occasion to make a donation before the end of the year, and before December 6 if possible.

To make a donation by check, please make your check payable to Yeru Bön Center, and mail it to Yeru Bön Center, 14702 Excelsior Blvd. # 1249, Minnetonka,  MN  55345. To donate, please click on the links below. You can identify if your donation is for the general fund, or a specific activity.

Yeru Bön Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Your contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS.

What do you get in return for your generosity? Yeru Bön Center can only offer a tax deduction. The children at the BCH offer their gratitude and their prayers for their foreign sponsors and benefactors. Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche will certainly send his prayers and blessings. And you can accumulate the merit of the Parchin Chu. Please think of your generosity practice and consider donating to the children at the Bön Children’s Home this holiday season.

Thank you for your continued support.

In Bön ,

David Peteler

President, Yeru Bön  Center
